I am so excited to say my quest for a three-peat at the Rock n’ Roll Philadelphia was a success this past Sunday! I came into the race quite nervous, as I did not have the best or most consistent training schedule this time around. I was secretly hoping for an A time goal of sub 2:25 and a B goal of sub 2:30 with a C goal to just finish. I have run a few sub 2:30s in the past, but never at RNRPhilly. The heat and humidity always seem to get me, but I was hoping for a three-peat miracle! I decided to drive down to Philly (KOP really) on Friday night so I would have all day Saturday to spend down there with my friends. It was all going smoothly until I hit NYC Friday night traffic. So that was fun. Got to lis...

Major check. I am so excited to be heading back there for a 3rd year in a row to run the Rock n’ Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon in September. I haven’t been able to spend a lot of time in the City of Brotherly Love, but this year I plan to change that. I want to arrive a couple of days early so I can take in all of the sights and sounds. Here’s my list of the Top 5 super touristy things to do while you’re visiting Philadelphia for Rock n’ Roll- 1. Climb the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and pretend you’re a champion- It was a sad day when the museum moved the statue from its iconic perch on top of the museum steps....

Disclaimer: I received NuGo Nutrition Egg White Protein Bars to review as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a B ibRavePro (ambassador) , and check out BibRave.com to review find and write race reviews! I love a good protein bar. Finding one that is the right texture and flavor is like a magical unicorn. There have been some that have come close to my high expectations, but most falter in one area or another. I had seen different varieties of NuGo bars in the grocery store and tried one or two. The flavor profile was definitely there. I was so excited when I was asked to try NuGo’s newest product: Egg White Protein bars. NuGo Nutrition boasts 10 different product lines (9 bars and 1 cookie!) all of which are free from artificial flavoring, colors, and sweeteners. They are also one of the only companies to use REAL dark chocolate in all of their products. Yum! NoGo Nutrition released their Egg White Protein bars last month t...

Athlinks, Organization At Its Finest

Disclaimer: I am promoting Athlinks as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to review or find race reviews. Being organized is something I pride myself on. If I won a million dollars, I would probably spend most of it at an office supply store buying EVERYTHING. I have 3 different planners. Yes, three. So yeah, I love when things are all in one place, organized, and easy to look at. One thing that really annoyed me when I started running was that even though I had a planner where I kept track of all of my runs, I didn’t really have a singular place to see all of my race results over the years and my PRs. Thankfully, I was introduced to Athlinks a few months ago. Athlinks is “the largest results database for competitive endurance athletes in the world.” Athlinks strives to not only provide runners, swimmers, cyclists, etc with their race results, but they hope to connect athletes in the...
